LAHORE: The three-day 44th bi-annual talk ended between Pakistan Rangers and India’s Border Securit
y Force (BSF) in New Dehli on Friday.
The 19-member delegation was led by Major General Muhammad Saeed while Director General BSF KK Sharma was leading Indian side.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), problems relat
ed to bor
der management, ceasefire violations and attacks on civilians came under discussions.
The purpose of the talk was to encourage both side
forces to resolve minor is
sues on their own at boarders.
The issue relat
ed to inadvertent border-crossers and drug smuggling was also discuss
ed to control such activities.
The meeting also agre
ed to expedite the legal formalities regarding detention of the fishermen from both sides so that the detained fishermen could be repatriated soon.
